FIRE ADVISORY

June 1, 2026, effective today the fire ban in Birch Cove has been downgraded to a Fire Advisory.

This means that safe fires in acceptable fire pits are allowed along with pellet smokers or other enclosed outdoor wood fired appliances, gas/propane stoves, firepits, bar-b-ques and open flame oil devices.  A safe fire under this advisory is a continuously monitored fire of limited size for cooking, warming or recreation, burning within an acceptable constructed fire pit or appliance, with a spark arresting screen.

No burning of any kind for any reason with winds above 15 km/hr.  No burning without an acceptable extinguishing method immediately at hand.
