I’m the community coordinator for Screen Test, the mobile mammography unit. We are under the umbrella of Alberta Health Services Screening Programs, and our mission is to provide mammograms to women all across Alberta who might otherwise not have one. We provide free digital mammography to women 50-69, and women 40-49 with a doctors referral. As you may know, breast cancer will affect 1 out of every 9 women in Alberta, but the good news is that the earlier these cancers are found, the better the chances of full recovery.

So if you could spread the word to women in Birch Cove that we will be in Barrhead at the Continuing Care Centre from Jan 10-19th, it would be greatly appreciated! We are trying to reach as many women as possible, so the more people that get the message the better.
